More than 300 dedicated men and women - volunteers - are an integral part of Hackley Hospital's healing mission, providing support, service and hospitality to patients, visitors and staff.
The rewards of volunteering go far beyond the pure joy of helping others. Many volunteers make true friendships with staff and other volunteers. Quite often, volunteer service helps keep many active, social and physically fit. But most importantly, our volunteers benefit from being part of the hospital team... working together to improve the health and the community we serve.

Opportunities
There's a place for you as a Hackley Volunteer! Our Volunteer Services staff does its best to match each individual's skills, talents, interests, and personal schedules to the hospital's needs. Here are a few of the opportunities available:Admitting Escort
Guide patients to their destinations within the hospital.
Cancer Center
Show hospitality to waiting patients and families; assist staff with clerical duties.
Clerical Support
Provide assistance in hospital departments or work on Volunteer Services projects.
Courier
Stay fit delivering documents, x-rays, medical supplies and more throughout the entire Hackley Hospital complex.
Courtesy Coach Driver
Drive visitors from the parking lots to the front door of the Hospital and Professional Building in our ËCourtesy CoachÓ golf cart. Valid drivers license required.
Hackley Hospital Gift Shop
Help visitors choose just the right lovely gift or card. Day, evening and weekend hours available.
Lobbyside Coffee Shoppe
Founded by Hackley Hospital volunteers, the coffee shop serves up food and fellowship to visitors and staff, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Postal Delivery
Sort and deliver the "Get Well" wishes mailed to our patients.
Surgery Waiting
Offer comfort and communication to family and friends who are waiting while their loved ones are undergoing an operation.
