Support for Hackley Hospital

In 1902 Charles Hackley announced his intention to provide a gift of $75,000 for the construction of a hospital, providing "the best care of the sick and the injured."

By November 17th 1904, when the hospital was officially opened to the public, Mr. Hackley’s finanical commitment had grown to over $220,000.

His commitment to providing the best medical care was clear, so too, was his hope for how Hackley Hospital would become part of this community,

"...I want the members of our society and the people of our City to feel that each has a personal interest in the maintenance of the Institution, in making it an efficient and ever-ready agency for the relief of the sick and the suffering."

Over the years the people of the lakeshore have demonstrated their commitment to Hackley through their work and their gifts.

By making a charitable contribution to Hackley Hospital through the Hackley Cornerstone Foundation, you will help make those words a reality for more people.
