In addition to direct contributions, Hackley Hospital and the Hackley Cornerstone Foundation are fortunate to be the recipient of special events here in West Michigan. A few of the major events are:

The Mike Irish Golf Classic to benefit the Cancer Center at Hackley Hospital.

After many seasons away from the lakeshore, the Mike Irish Golf Classic to benefit the Cancer Center at Hackley Hospital returned to Muskegon County at the Muskegon Country Club. Each year golfers, corporate sponsors and auction participants raise over $50,000 to support cancer services at Hackley.

The Sandy Corley Memorial Run hosted and organized by the volunteers of the Fremont Harley Owners Group, the people of Sandyfs Harley Davidson and volunteers from across West Michigan, this has become one of the major must attend partyfs of the summer season.

Held the fourth weekend in June, the event features camping, the world famous H.O.G. auction, bands, beverages and of course, a magnificent ride. This event is an outstanding fundraiser for the Cancer Center at Hackley Hospital having raised over $806,000.

While Labor Day wraps up the summer season in Michigan it also brings the gCars for Cancerh car and bike show at St. Thomas Church in Muskegon. Organized by the Knights of Columbus Council # 13035 and Different Strokes Car Club, hundreds of car owners and car enthusiasts turn out raising thousands of dollars for the Cancer Center at Hackley Hospital.

Whether itfs a cherry red El Camino, a '65 'stang or Mopar muscle, the paint and chrome gleams bright under the Labor Day sun, helping to raise much needed dollars for new equipment and care.

Throughout the year, many firms, employee groups and organizations hold special events to benefit programs or services at Hackley Hospital that are especially important to them.
