Dr. Stephen R. Fisher, M.D.
Dr. Fisher is a Board Certified orthopedic Surgeon who has been practicing in Muskegon since 2002. He received a Bachelor's degree from the University of Pittsburgh where he also attended medical school. Dr. Fisher completed an Internship and Residency at Wayne State University - Detroit Medical Center. In his last year of Residency, Dr. Fisher served as the Chief Orthopedic Resident. Following this residency, he completed a Fellowship in Orthopedic Sports Medicine at Lake Tahoe Orthopaedic Institute.
Throughout his medical education, Dr. Fisher has worked with athletes of all levels and provided medical coverage for a wide variety of sports. He joined Dr. Pallante as the only Sports Medicine trained Fellows in the greater Muskegon area.
A Pittsburgh native, Dr. Fisher earned varsity letters in football, baseball, swimming, and power-lifting in high school. He continued his athletic career in college, playing on the University of Pittsburgh club hockey team. As captain, his team won the Western Pennsylvania Collegiate Hockey Association championship in 1995.
Dr. Fisher and his wife Kim Fisher, PAC, have three children, Luke, Delany and Sydney. He continues to play competitive ice hockey and enjoys skiing, water sports and golf.
The athletes of Muskegon are fortunate to have the expertise of Dr. Fisher. His medical knowledge and love of sports make him an asset to our community.
