Athletic Medicine and Rehabilitation
Michelle Ward, A.T.,C., C.S.C.S.
Michelle is a Certified Athletic Trainer who is a native of Muskegon, where she attended Reeths-Puffer High School. She graduated from Grand Valley State University in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science with an emphasis in Athletic Training. She completed an athletic training internship at Hackley in 1996. She is responsible for the treatment and rehabilitation of patients at the Hackley Rehab and Aquatic Therapy Clinic as well as provides athletic training services to Western Michigan Christian High School. She is also the liaison for a cooperative "Bridge Program" with Norton Pines Athletic Club. Michelle is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
Michelle has guest lectured in Grand Valley State University's Athletic Training Education Program, and has spoken to a number of community organizations and schools on topics such as nutrition, strength and conditioning, and issues facing female athletes. She has been an adjunct faculty member at Muskegon Community College since 2003. Michelle has been instrumental in the development of Hackley Rehab & Sports Medicine's Strength and Conditioning programs for local athletes.
Michelle resides in Muskegon with her husband Jeff and their daughter, Olivia. Her hobbies include golf, volleyball, softball and time with friends and family. Her experience and interests make her a vital link to the Rehab & Sports Medicine team.
