It's difficult to believe that nearly two years have passed since Hackley Hospital revolutionized Emergency Care along the lakeshore with the introduction of the new Hackley Emergency Center. With its innovative design and staggering array of advanced medical equipment, Hackley Emergency remains at the forefront of Emergency Medicine along the lakeshore
The new $11 million Hackley Emergency Center marked the beginning of a journey into our community's medical future. Designed for up to 76,000 annual patient visits, the 26,500 square foot facility is an innovative melding of architectural design and patient care process. The design capitalizes on Hackley's award-winning processes and maximizes access to life-saving technology. Patients are only a few steps away from physicians and staff at any point in the new three-spoke, central command hub design.
This Emergency Center brings together the best of the old, the efficiency of Hackley Emergency's present, and the medical advances of tomorrow. Over 160 process redesigns were incorporated into the design and planning. In emergency medicine, seconds really do count. And when those seconds count most, Hackley's Emergency Center provides our community the very best.

- Central Hub - Physicians and nurses are always only a few steps away.
- Ten Critical Care rooms - located at the inner end of each hallway, closest to the Central Hub.
- Two Trauma Bays - located immediately inside the Ambulance Entrance.
- Specialty Care Rooms for GYN, ENT, and Behavioral Health.
- Digital Radiography (X-Ray) Suite and Toshiba Aquilion High-Speed, Multi-Slice CT Scanner - essential technology located right in the Emergency Center
