Visitor Guidelines
Please observe these simple guidelines for the health and safety of all patients and visitors to Hackley Hospital.
Cellular Telephones:
All cellular phones, radio transmitters and portable (laptop) computers MUST BE TURNED OFF in all areas of the hospital, except in the Hospital's First Floor Main Lobby and in the Main Lobby of the Hackley Professional Center. The purpose of this restriction is to reduce the chance of interference with medical equipment. This is a patient safety issue and we request that you comply. To report someone who is using one of these devices inside the hospital, please call the Security Office at 728-4710.
Mail, Flowers and Packages:
Mail, flowers and packages are delivered to patients' rooms every day by our dedicated staff of volunteers. Cards are sorted and delivered in the morning. If you are discharged before mail is delivered to you, we will make every effort to forward the mail to your home. If the mail is undeliverable to you, it will be returned to the sender.
Flowers are delivered by our volunteers every day between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. If flowers arrive for you after you have been discharged, the florist will be contacted to pick them up and make the necessary arrangements for delivery. For a list of some local florists see below. If you have elected to be admitted under a "No Information" status, flowers will not be delivered to your room.
ICU patients may not be able to receive flowers or balloons. Please check with a family member or the nurse supervisor. Only mylar balloons are allowed in the hospital. Latex balloons are not permitted.

Patient Condition Reports:
Hospital staff will not release information about a patient's condition, except in cases that involve police or first responder crews and the patient's name becomes public record. In all other cases, the Hospital Operators and Information Desk staff will confirm whether or not someone is a patient and transfer calls to the patient's room, but will not release the patient's condition. If you are a patient you are encouraged to rely on family or friends to provide condition updates to those outside the hospital.
