Multiple Drug Resistant Organisms
If you are known to have a multiple drug resistant organism (MRSA, VRE, or other type resistant organism), please notify the doctor or nurse. Contact precautions are used by healthcare workers to prevent the spread of these grems. Visitors are to follow the same posted precautions.

Pneumococcal/Influenza Vaccines
These are two very important safe vaccines that protect you from serious diseases. They will be provided to you during your hospital stay if you qualify. Influenza vaccine is given September through January every flu season; pneumococcal vaccine is given year around. Your nurse will give you the vaccine information statements to answer questions you may have. This is an opportune time to get vaccinated.
