Visiting a Patient

We encourage your family and friends to support you through your hospitalization. Visiting hours are designed to provide you with periods of rest so vital to your recovery. There are only a few limitations we ask your visitors to respect:

If you have a special need or would like your spouse/significant other or clergy to spend more time with you, please make these arrangements with your nurse.

Visiting Hours:
Regular visiting hours are 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

After Hours Access:
If necessary, and with permission, you may visit a patient after hours. To visit after regular visiting hours or hospital hours use the Main Lobby Entrance. A security guard is on duty at the information desk located just inside the doors. You must sign in with the security guard who will then call the floor/department you are requesting to visit.

Contacting a Patient Room:
Your hospital room may be called directly from outside the hospital by dialing the 7-digit number found on the telephone in your room. Patient phone numbers are 727-4 (plus the room number). To protect your privacy, hospital room phone numbers are unlisted and private. You may give your hospital room phone number out to friends and relatives but Hackley Hospital Operators are not permitted to give these numbers to callers. Hospital Operators may transfer calls to patient rooms from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Family Waiting Rooms:
Waiting rooms are available on every floor. As a courtesy we ask that you use the nearest appropriate waiting room to where your friend or relative is staying. This is to prevent visitors from crowding other more critical or sensitive waiting rooms.

Overnight Accommodations:
Hackley Hospital has Preferred Rates Agreements with local hotels. These rates are only for out-of-town patients or out-of-town families of registered hospital patients. Hackley Hospital does not promote nor endorse any of these vendors. If you are visiting from out of town call one of the listed hotels and identify yourself as a patient or visitor of a patient at Hackley and you will receive a discounted rate. Your nurse supervisor also has this information available.
